It’s been a week now since the Boston Marathon bombings, but I just wanted to write a short post saying that my heart goes out to all the victims.
This was an unbelievable act of ugly violence and not one individual in that marathon deserved to go through something like that. The fact that the two men responsible for the crime have now been captured (one of them killed) is little comfort, I find.
I don’t know what the weather is like where you are, but it’s starting to feel a little more like spring here. This is a great thing. After 7 months of heavy coats, boots destroyed by salt and slush, fingers and toes frozen at the bus stop – the baby rays of sunshine starting to peek through the gray April clouds is the most divine blessing this year has bestowed upon us.
I have developed a bad habit recently. When I come home after work, I grab a quick bite to eat and flop down on the couch and turn on my TV. I have a fleet of TV shows that I must watch before I get on with anything else. That’s about 3 hours of my precious time wasted on fictional characters. In any case, this all started when I accidentally caught an episode of Criminal Minds that airs every weekday at 6PM (now at 5PM AND 6PM which is a blessing and a curse). I immediately developed an intellectual crush on agent Reid, agent Morgan makes my brain fire electrical signals into the most inappropriate places and Garcia is just plain hilarious. Of course, that’s all superficial.
Sometimes I feel like I live in the wrong century. There are many reasons for this and I am about to make you privy to one of them. So, listen to the tale of my woe and tell me if you share the same opinion or if you just think I’m crazy.
This post isn’t going to be very long. Or maybe it will one never knows how these things will go.
In any case, I decided to share some of my pet peeves with you. I, personally, love hearing what irritates people (mostly so I can avoid doing it and remain on the person’s good side) but also because I think it’s interesting.
